pick up the mail now at any given time in every letter you can read between the lines love letters on the page written in lemon juice hold the page up to the light bulb you can read them too to inscribe in invisible ink all your lovelorn battle codes the secret blips and the covert noise with which your heart unfolds uniforms in bunkers deep with headphones all askew the quiet hum of cryptographs hard at work in the other room with your young detective's handbook i though you were the one now i see that after all you were just having fun now i'm dusting for your prints again just see if you're there

presuppose, start again start from the end with a false start it's difficult to mend with the go-between come around, see what i mean and the point escapes all attempts again when it breaks out when you figure it all out and you don't have the time to write it down far too cynical of everything, going on and you know now it's got to end

Nordic Cap 01:57
morning, opening up and it's forming all across my eyes and it is pouring against my window pane wake up, given just another hour make up, a simple wish and i fill my cup wipe the sleep from my eyes i know, something's not going right-o you don't have to see me tonight-o i can understand it, if you don't want to be near me noon time, hands twisted up and i combine every event of a sublime dreamy yesterday bed time, think of you only it's a fine line between longing and hoping it's a full time job i work for free

about

Recorded and shelved over a decade ago, The Keen's last album is finally getting the release it deserves. Surviving the split up of the band, many relocations, several hard drive crashes, and a multitude of storage formats, the record was finally salvaged and mastered this year. The record was self-produced throughout '02 and '03 on many a recorder in many a living room. Despite the loss of the master tracks years ago, what remains is some of the best material by the group, rough patches and all - a snapshot of a third-wave Indie Pop group at it's tightest and most fecund.
